Creators and links

Add your creators, give each one a campaign link, and track the codes claimed through it.

Your roster

  • Import up to 100,000 creators at a time from a CSV file on the Creators page.
  • Use the Creator ID from your own system. Keep it the same when importing that person again.
  • Edit a creator’s name, email, or handle from their row. Their Creator ID cannot change.

Import a roster

  1. Download and fill in the template

Open Creators → Import creators and download the template. Add Creator ID and name for each person, with email and handle if you have them.
  2. Save the file

Save as a UTF-8 CSV with the header row. Put quotation marks around a value that contains a comma.
  3. Preview and correct

Preview the file to see which rows will be added, already exist, or need a correction. Fix repeated IDs and missing names, then preview again.
  4. Import

Import the reviewed file and check the results. If you change the file or its preview is over an hour old, preview it again first.
Importing an existing Creator ID leaves that creator’s details unchanged. Edit their row to make a correction.

If you connect your own software, API creator updates can change existing details.

Stop or start a link

On the campaign page, choose Stop issuing beside a creator’s link to stop new codes. Choose Start issuing from the same row when you are ready.

No new codes are handed out. Codes already handed out still work and still count for their creator.

Deactivating someone on the Creators page has a different effect: it stops new campaign assignments and hides their stats page. Use Stop issuing on their existing campaign links separately if you also want to stop new codes.

Stopping a link also makes its stats page unavailable. Both the creator and their campaign link must be active to restore access.

Big rosters

For a large roster, watch progress on the campaign page and review any creators who could not get a link. Correct the listed problems and try those creators again.

Choose Export links to download Creator ID, Name, Campaign, Share link, and Short code as a CSV. The file includes Stopped links, so check link status before distributing it.

Stats links are separate from this export. Copy each creator’s stats link from their campaign row and send it privately.
