Using Viffy

Offers and campaigns

The brand sets the offer’s savings and rules. Your campaign sets which creators share it and how many codes to hand out.

Offers

The Offers page lists every offer you may distribute, with a brand filter to narrow the list. Each offer shows its savings, the products it applies to, its dates, and how many codes are still available.

StatusMeaning
ReadyYou can create a campaign on it now.
Not yet startedThe brand’s dates have not begun.
ExpiredThe brand’s dates have passed.
Temporarily unavailableThe brand is editing the offer. Refresh it later.
Not readyAvailable code counts or usable offer dates are missing, or no codes remain. Open the offer for the reason.
Available codes are shared across all campaigns on this offer.

If a brand is missing, follow these steps to find it.

Creating a campaign

Start from an offer, or from the Campaigns page. A new campaign is a draft until you activate it.

SettingWhat it does
Campaign nameHow your team recognizes it.
First day / Last dayThe first and last day codes are handed out. When a code can be redeemed comes from the offer, not the campaign.
Max codes to hand outThe most codes this campaign can hand out. It is checked against available codes, but does not reserve them for this campaign.
RetailerLimit redemption to one store chain where the offer allows it. Some offers require a retailer choice.
Commission rate (%)The rate used with your estimated sale price to plan campaign cost. Viffy does not make payments.
Expected sale priceYour estimate of what one sale is worth. Used only for cost estimates.

The retailer choice becomes fixed once codes are prepared, before shoppers receive them. You can still correct its display name.

For a guided setup, follow Create the campaign and its links.

Status

StatusWhat it means
DraftYou are preparing the campaign. Activate it when you are ready.
ActiveThe campaign can hand out codes during its dates, while codes are available.
PausedNew codes are stopped. Resume the campaign when you are ready.
EndedThe campaign is finished and cannot restart. Duplicate it to create a new draft.

When you pause or end a campaign

No new codes are handed out. Codes already handed out still work and still count for their creator.

Codes

The code limit includes codes handed to shoppers, test codes, and the remaining allowance.

Example

A limit of 1,000 with 200 shopper codes and 5 test codes leaves room for 795 more codes.
  • Add codes at any time before the campaign ends, as long as the offer is still Ready and has codes available.
  • You can lower the limit to the number already handed out, including test codes.
  • Set alert recipients in Settings to receive emails when an active campaign runs low or reaches its limit.

Remaining allowance does not mean codes are ready immediately. Check the campaign’s supply notice if shoppers cannot get a code.

What a campaign costs

Estimated commission is the commission rate multiplied by your estimated unit sale price and verified redemptions.

Example

At a 10% rate and a $5 estimated sale price, 40 verified redemptions produce $20 in estimated commission.

Changing the rate or price updates past estimates and is recorded in the Activity log. Redemption counts stay the same.

Estimate only. Redemption counts are exact; the sale price is your estimate.

Duplicate a campaign

Duplicate copies campaign settings and creators whose links are still Issuing into a new draft, leaving out Stopped links. It creates new links and starts with no codes handed out or redemptions; the offer must still be available for a new campaign.

Review the new dates and code limit before activating it. An ended campaign cannot be restarted or have its limit raised.

Test codes

Use Test code on the campaign page before creators share their links. Follow the test walkthrough to check the phone display and register scan.

A new test code uses part of the campaign limit and is left out of shopper and creator performance totals. It appears in the test-code count and, once redeemed, the redemption list.

Use a staff number that has not claimed the offer. If that number already holds a shopper code, you receive that code back and it still counts as shopper activity.
